system dynamics !
How we exist and work as a systemSystem Type:
- Professionally Recognized OSDD-1b (Due to age we can not be formally diagnosed, but multiple psychologists and mental health professionals have acknowledged us as an OSDD system)- Singlet Persona (We are not out to most people IRL and use a "singletsona")System Origin:
- Traumagenic (Repeated trauma in our childhood caused dissociation)- Maladaptive Daydreaming --> Accidental Thoughtform (Most headmates have maladaptive daydreaming disorder due to trauma, which can sometimes cause an idea/character to "take on a life of their own" and become a headmate. Some alters also use this to cover their existence.)System Architecture:
- Mixed communication (We communicate both externally [writing, texting, etc] and internally)- Passive headspace/Oculovism (Headspace is only accessible when the main fronter focuses on it)- Managed memories (Gatekeepers manage who has access to memories, so please bare with us sometimes)- Mixed switches (Our switches are both reactive and voluntary)- Co-Consciousness
Plural Etiquette (How to interact with us)What do you go by collectively? Oleanders, They/Ey/EmHow should people refer to you? Please refer to us using our individual names/pronouns unless it's unsafe or around someone whom we are not out to yet. What terms do you prefer for referring to yourselves as individuals Headmates or alters! We will sometimes refer to each other as "parts" when talking about our therapy work, but please DO NOT refer to us like that.Who in your system are people most likely to interact with?
Ollie - He/They, but pronouns can change, USUALLY uses lowercase with little to no punctuationDave - He/Him, uses all lowercase and proper punctuationZephie - She/Her, uses good grammar and lots of emoticons ("^_^")Will people be interacting with any child members? How should they treat them? Is there anything they should know when interacting with them?
If you do not know us well you most likely will not be interacting with our littles. However, if you do they will most likely be accompanied by an adult alter. Our main littles are Venus, Finley, and Parsley. Venus is very excitable and hyper, Finley is a little more closed off but enjoys talking to other littles, and Parsley is very anxious. If you meet Parsley please ask if anyone else is around and talk to her carefully. Avoid swearing around littles and do not show them adult content. Are there any system members who are nonverbal or otherwise have difficulty communicating? What should others expect when speaking with them?
Honeybee is completely non-verbal and will text using emojis to communicate. π can not voice chat. Sunny is selectively mute and will continue to text, but will not be able to voice chat. Ollie will sometimes go mute when very anxious and communicates via emoji. What should people do if they don't know who's at front?
Ask unless it would be unsafe or someone is around who isn't aware of our plurality, in which case shoot us a private message. We would rather you ask than assume! Is it okay for people to ask if they can talk to someone who isn't at front at the moment?
Yes, but please do not pressure us. Sometimes we have trouble switching or a headmate is inaccessible at the moment. If someone talks to one of you, will other system members be aware of the conversation? Will they be actively watching, or just able to remember it later?
It really depends who, but assume someone else is aware. Usually, at least 1 other person is actively aware (Not always the case), but sometimes they just know it happened.Adding onto the above β if multiple system members will be aware of a conversation, will they want to chime in? If someone wants to speak to a system member one-on-one, what expectations can they have and how should they communicate this?
Other headmates will most likely want to chime in if they're aware. If you want to speak to someone one-on-one just say so. Anyone around will either leave or, if frontstuck or can't stop listening for whatever reason, will try to ignore the conversation and not interrupt. How out are you? What should people do when talking to people who don't know you're plural?
We are not very out. We tell people online, our IRL close friends, and our therapist. Otherwise, we present as a singlet with the name Ollie and He/They pronouns.Do you have any internal communication difficulties, memory issues, switch triggers, etc that others should be mindful of?
We will forget dates. We can remember most things collectively, but days and months will most likely be lost so please be patient with us.Your stance on being asked questions? (about personal experience, preferences, plurality in general, etc)
If we have just met you, we will not answer personal questions about the body or experiences. We will never answer questions about trauma to people online. We also get very tired of educating other people about plurality, but we can link you to helpful sources. Feel free to ask what our boundaries or preferences are!Is there anything else others should know?
Please just treat us like normal people. If we say to stop: STOP. Please also use tonetags for us unless otherwise specified.
plural spectrum !

Credit: The Plural Association , "Plural Spectrum Tool," Power to the Plurals. 2018.Memory Sharing: We can share most memories, but they are usually fuzzy. Traumatic memories are rarely shared. 6/10Co-Operation: We work and function relatively well! We quarrel and have issues with talking about how we feel sometimes, but we can go day-to-day just fine. 8/10System Stability: We do not face clinical distress (Or, at least, haven't in a year, thus not the full score.) 9/10Internal Communication: We primarily communicate internally and it usually works very well unless we're stressed. Sometimes our communication can become very fuzzy. 8/10Ability to Switch: We have trouble fully switching and even when we do, someone else is usually co-con. We usually only switch when we focus on it (so usually only in therapy) 6/10Co-Consciousness: In most cases, anyone around can be aware of what is happening in the corporeal world even if not specifically in front. 9/10Elaboration: Our individuality is very high. Everyone has their own interests (With overlap, of course), opinions, appearance, voice, ETC. 10/10Overt: Almost all our life we have had to hide our plurality and have a very strong singletsona. We do not tell many people in our life about our plurality. 5/10Pride: We are proud of our plurality and what we have been through, but a lot of us still are in denial about being a system and are very insecure. 7/10Size: We have 50 headmates, so about medium-sized (The graph is a little inaccurate...) 5/10 (It's 3/10 on the graph)
